iC Mail Shield (FortiMail)

Choose from our managed shared solution known as iC-Shield  to provide an integrated hardware and software solution that provides powerful and flexible logging and reporting, antispam, antivirus, and email archiving capabilities to incoming and outgoing email traffic.

The iC-Shield system has reliable and high performance features for detecting and blocking spam messages and malicious attachments. Built on Fortinet's FortiOS™, the iC-Shield antivirus technology extends full content inspection capabilities to detect the most advanced email threats from a constantly updated database.

Once activated you will receive single, scheduled reports containing all the spam that has been captured by the system. No more sifting through junk - this is a centralised system which lets you quickly release email that you may need. The intelligent, self-learning system can be adjusted through this report too. We are confident that after just a short few days you will see a collosal reduction in junk, spam and phishing emails.

The iC Mail Shield also saves your bandwidth - no more downloading spam to locally installed software for checking, no more  "double" processing. Instead valid or invalid users users from the destination mail server, in effect it will not send mail payload  to a non existant user but will query the mail server first to check recipient validity

Individual profiles can be set to be used on users or groups so your mail can be scanned using very strict policies or as light as you wish. When the quarantine setting is used however then any false positives can be released by the end user or by the nominated administrator and that mail will be automatically added to that users whitelist.
